On October 18th 2015, top travel agents were invited to discover the Warwick Cayo Santa Maria Cuba and taste Cuban cuisine during a dinner immersing them in the Cuban atmosphere. This dinner was organized as part of a Fam Trip set up by the Cuban Ministry of Tourism toward the top 30 Canadian travel selling Cuba from the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
Those top booking travel agents for Cuba were invited by the Cuban Mintur to attend a Fam Trip to visit and enjoy Cuba. On that occasion, they were able to stay in hotels, test excursions and restaurants in the different touristic destinations.
On October 18th, the Fam Trip brought them to the Warwick Cayo Santa Maria Cuba, in which they were invited to dine. The dinner was held in Las Antillas restaurant, exclusively privatized for this event, and accompanied by live music. The guests tasted a Cuban fusion menu delightfully prepared by the Awarded Executive Chef of the Hotel, Oscar Fernandez.
Mrs Nieves Ricardo, from the Cuban Tourism Office in Toronto, was accompanying the agents during this trip. She was very thankful that the Warwick Cayo Santa Maria Cuba was able to host such an event, as it is the newest hotel of the region. All the agents were happy to see the property that has been selling very well. At the end of the dinner, they requested the possibility to return the next day during daytime to visit the entire property, request that
was happily accommodated.
Mr Jean-Baptiste Blondin, Resident Manager of the Warwick Cayo Santa Maria Cuba was delighted with the dinner. Expressing himself about this event, he said: “It was our pleasure to cater to these 30 Canadian Travel agents selling Cuba. We hope they liked the opportunity to flavour and taste a different and modern side of Cuba through the delicious food they experienced here in the Warwick Cayo Santa Maria. I’m glad they enjoyed the Hotel so much that they came back the following day to inspect it, and my team and I look forward to welcome and care to all their guests with the same level of service they experienced”.
